The Paw Stop was born out of love, not only for dogs but between their owners. They went to high school together in their country of origin (Peru) and met again after 23 years in a school reunion in Miami, Florida. They both love animals, especially dogs, this is the main reason they decided to open a dog grooming in Sarasota, Florida.
Ricardo (Owner/Groomer)
Ricardo was born and raised in Lima, Peru. His love for animals led him to become a veterinarian and graduated in 2001. He opened his veterinarian clinic right after graduating from the University. When he immigrated to this country in 2008, he opened his grooming store in Port St. Lucie, Florida, and is very well known, recognized, and appreciated by his clients. His passion, respect, and knowledge of dogs, and his 12 years of experience pampering them make him an exceptional groomer.
Ursula (Co-owner)
Ursula was born and raised in Lima, Peru. She studied to be an interpreter and to be a bilingual executive assistant. She came to the United States in 2003 and has lived in Florida since. She has worked in diverse business areas, such as hospitality, kitchen and bath designs, insurance, and medical. She is currently the Vice President of a Durable Medical Equipment women-owned company and has been with them since 2012. Because of all her experience, she is in charge of the management, marketing, design, and social media of The Paw Stop.
